Page 2 of the interactive Global Surveyon People Migration!
This is page 2 of the people migration study aimed at ascertaining if people move home between National census intervals and why. On this page are the preliminary results. Thank you to all of you who have donated information! If you have yet to take part in this survey using your own life experiences and have been uncertain about the outcome, it is hoped this page is reassuring to you.Preliminary Results. 21 April, 2008The next chart (chart 4) is a count of the migratory moves that respondents have made within the recent twenty year period. Keep in mind that the ratio of female to male respondents is 3:1 therefore a direct comparison of the count would not be statistically correct in determining who moves more, female or male? No count was made for marital status, so there is no indication of widow / widower condition. On balance, as a percentage of respondents, women moved less than men. Within the last 10 years 66% of men had not moved, compared to 50% of females, but over the 20 year period some 89% of men and 79% of females had moved abode. This may indicate that males move earlier in the life, but a larger sample from males is necessary before such an assumption can me made.
