On other pages there have been opportunities to download information that is in one of two formats, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft PowerPoint.
Also many of the family reports were produced by Family Tree Maker, which is the Genealogy software that I use.
So if you wish to obtain free copies of software to read Microsoft files just click on this logo
to go to the Microsoft site.
To get a free copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader so that you can view Adobe Acrobat pdf files, click this logo
Also most of the files that I have made available for download I have "zipped" or compressed so that the download time is reduced. I use WinZip from Nico Mak Computing because I like anything that makes life easy, and WinZip is really easy to use to zip and unzip files. WinZip is shareware, that is you can try it for free for 30 days after which you should register it and "cough up some money".
Lots of PC Magazines have free CDs which provide a copy of WinZip (and very often the Adobe & Microsoft programmes to read files) but in case you can't get hold of such a CD easily, you can get a free copy of from Nico Mak.
| And finally, if you have just been surfing and got this far, then you must
by now be getting interested in doing something similar... so click on this fellow and go
take a look at some software that will help The guy on the right takes you to Family Tree Maker's great Web Site |

And ... finally if you really are getting desperate then try
which will whisk you away from
this site to the on-line LDS index ....
or if you really are a beginner then take a trip to the LDS Start a Family History Web or the Family Tree Maker Site for some great hints on how to get started.
Good luck!
